Joshua Tree National Park startrails

There is something satisfying about thinking up a comp in your head and then coming out and executing it and seeing the final result. That was the case here as we wanted to use these old mill tracks for this shot. The original plan was to have the light up high in the sky, but we figured it would be better painting the tracks instead so it was held low. Having the static subject against the trails really brings a sense of motion to this shot that I love.
