Hot Creek Milky Way - Mammoth lakes

First time visiting this spot, definitely not the last. I knew this vantage lined up perfectly so it was a must stop this year. We came here with almost no light left which is why my foreground exposure is so long. We thought the cloud cover this night would screw up our MW plans but the sky pretty much cleared except for the horizon which gave this shot a cool effect with the light pollution. It also magnified some of the stars giving a dreamier type feel to this shot. I do want to return with clear skies but this one’s still up there for me this year.
