There’s a reason this place is referred to as Cloudfall.
I shot this one during the months when the sun sets further NW so that you can
catch it illuminating the fog just before it dips behind the Santa Monica
Mountains. This is what gave the scene the golden light. I compressed the fog
against some foreground ridges that had some nice fog and light beaming through
the trees. I used a fast shutter here to mimic a large powerful waterfall. Not
your average scene from Los Angeles County, eh? Nikon D750, Nikkor 70-200,
f/14, 1/160 sec, ISO-50
