Ever wondered if you able to capture the Milky Way in Los Angeles county? If you drive out west to Malibu or up in the Santa Monica mountains you can get some fairly dark skies and can faintly make out the MW core with your naked eye once they adjust to the darkness. Granted it won't be as dark as if you drive inland to the deserts but on the flip side YOU ARE IN LA COUNTY. This shot looks out south towards PCH and the ocean which are covered by a thick layer of fog. I framed a small part of the mountain range for some depth. The city pollution bleeds in from the left.
