From the South Bay to LA

I came out to PV to get a view of LA and the San Gabriel’s as the storm passed. There was a wicked cloud formation hanging around through golden hour with some amazing textures as you see here. I wasn’t planning on shooting this wide but I had to incorporate the storm cloud. From left to right you can make out the Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory, and downtown LA on the right with what it looks to be a light dusting of snow on the mountains above. The southbay cities line the beachfront in the foreground. I’ve had a ton of looks at this shot (always after storms) but this is probably the best so far as conditions make this shot hard to get. Nikon D750, Nikkor 70-200, f/8, 1/100 sec, ISO-50
