Abalone Cove sunset, Palos Verdes

Here’s a shot from Abalone cove in Palos Verdes. The rock patterns in the foreground caught my attention so I setup here at sunset. I snapped a few of the incoming tide weaving its way through the rocks and then snapped an exposure for the sky. Just as the sun dipped below the horizon it created this cool looking fireball that burned for quite some time just before the entire sky started burning. That intense fireball provided a nice glow on the foreground rock. I have a version of that afterburn as well which will be posted down the road.
